McKissick Associates has named Carl J. Kanaskie, Jr., AIA, Associate Partner. Kanaskie, a project architect with a specialty in sustainable design, has been with the firm for four years.
"Carl's loyalty to the organization, combined with his creative talents and architectural skills, has made him a tremendous asset to McKissick Associates," said Vern McKissick, Principal of the firm. He added, "We look forward to the contribution he will make as an Associate Partner, and are pleased to be able to offer our clients such a credentialed and experienced architect."
Kanaskie's experience includes numerous projects in Florida, Pennsylvania, New York and Minnesota, in the design of educational, healthcare, industrial, pharmaceutical and retail facilities, as well as residential architecture. Regionally, his work on the Wellsboro Area High School and Harrisburg's St. Stephen's Episcopal School are examples of innovative, sustainable-designed architecture.
An honors graduate of the University of Florida, with a Master of Architecture from the University of South Florida, Kanaskie is a licensed architect in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey and a U. S. Green Building Council LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)-Accredited Professional.
