McKissick Associates office is located in a historic building, built in 1870, and once the residence of Judge John W. Simonton, first President of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

We can provide you with a wide range of preservation and adaptive reuse consulting services.

Vern McKissick, is involved in organizations such as Historic Harrisburg Association and the Harrisburg City Planning Commission. These organizations seek to preserve historic neighborhoods while nuturing the recovering urban economic development. Kristen McKissick is the Chair of Harrisburg's Historic Architectural Review Board (HARB) which is aimed at reconciling some of the same issues between preserving historic neighborhood character and the city's future. McKissick Associates is joined by  Gina Douty, whose past experience includes time spent as an architectural historic preservation specialist with the Pennsylvania Historic and Museum Commission (PHMC), and as Vice-Chair of Mechanicsburg's HARB.
